Kate Pane

Kate Pane’s room in Playland Motel is a hot and heavy girlhood frolic with glitter sunburns, ponies and wet swimsuits.

The Artist: Kate Pane’s work is influenced by childhood, memory and the eager, obsessed, naive lust of the teenage girl. With the premise of a personal narrative, she recreates the presumptive innocence of these pertinent transitions. She received her BFA in painting from Maryland College of Art, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Psychology and Art Therapy.
